Peter's Maps

Google is no longer supporting googlepages, so these maps have been moved to my website at http://maps.peterrobins.co.uk/

Some example maps using Google and OpenLayers Javascript APIs

  • Position finders
    1. Google Maps (includes layers for OpenStreetMap (OSM) and relief maps from maps-for-free.com (MFF)
    2. OpenLayers with Google Maps. Replaced by http://maps.peterrobins.co.uk/google.html
    3. OpenLayers with Google, OSM and MFF ("spherical Mercator" with MFF as a TMS). Replaced by http://maps.peterrobins.co.uk/google.html, http://maps.peterrobins.co.uk/osm.html, and http://maps.peterrobins.co.uk/relief.html
    4. Spain: OpenLayers with IGN topo maps and PNOA aerial photographs from IDEE (WMS). Replaced by http://maps.peterrobins.co.uk/e.html
    5. GB: I could also set one up for the Ordnance Survey's new OpenSpace API, based on OpenLayers, but Bill Chadwick already has an excellent one at wheresthepath.googlepages.com
  • Google Maps with overlay of Camino de Santiago in Asturias and Navarra - detailed files provided by regional governments, which may take a while to load: Asturias: Google Earth file, split in two layers for coastal and interior routes; Navarra: ESRI shapefile, converted to Google Earth file. For replacements (on IGN or Google maps), see overview map at http://maps.peterrobins.co.uk/e/
  • Walking routes Canterbury to Dover; OpenSpace API with polylines and placemarks read in from kml file. Replaced by http://maps.peterrobins.co.uk/gb/canter2dover.html
